Boilerplate

Lijn is a reader for the bandes dessinées, comics, manga, and books you already own, built for iPad. It reads CBZ, CBR, CBT, PDF, DjVu, EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, FB2, and TXT, lines albums up in tome order, and tells you which tome is missing. Finish Aldébaran and it suggests Bételgeuse. Find Metadata asks the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Sudoc, and Wikidata, and shows the diff before changing anything. It connects to Komga, Kavita, Calibre-Web, and any OPDS server, and sends your progress back. No account, no ads, no analytics: ten albums free, then one purchase, forever.

Why it exists

Every iPad reader asked its author to choose: good comic rendering or good book rendering, local files or server sync, a one-time purchase or an app that is still maintained. Lijn refuses the choice. The name is a nod to Hergé's ligne claire: one clear line, nothing in the way of the drawing.
